technically i took these photos the day after her blessing (yes-i got her all dressed up again and took photos. church takes up the whole day so it was impossible to get any photos taken except with the family anyway.) i'm so grateful for henrietta. hugo was such a joy and i was so excited to see what kind of person he would grow up to be. i loved every moment and felt like i was able to soak in all of his milestones. but with etta leigh i have been wanting her babyhood to just last a little longer. the season changed, i blinked, and she has grown out of her newborn stage into a roly poly cuddle bug. she is so sweet and happy. all it takes is a wink and a little smile and this girl's face lights up. she loves her brother dearly and all her limbs wave in frenzied excitement whenever he tries to interact with her (i've been more than happy to let him ignore her for a while until he has a better grasp of 'gentle').
i guess it's at this stage of the babies that i realize that i'm just loving those little people (makes sense since i was almost pregnant with henrietta when hugo was this age)
i got this dress off of etsy-i like to think a little woman living out her life in retirement with her husband made it. in all actuality, i have no idea. the person who made it had quite a few other knit blessing dresses for sale. i'm guessing it's her specialty.
those booties kill me.
i love her.
She's such a gem.
