harlem rbi 'a league of their own'

my old employer, harlem rbi, held a wine and chocolate tasting event this last week at the central park boathouse.  talk about swanky.  when i worked there-i worked very hard on these types of fundraisers.  it was a lot of stress, a lot of legwork, and a whole lot of chasing around my tail.  i dreaded events.
can i tell you how FUN it is to be on the other end?  i had no idea what a blast it is to attend!
and this year, 'a league of their own' was done so beautifully.  there were chocolates, cookies, brownies, rice krispie treats, and all sorts of other goodies donated from all over the city.  with an open bar (unlimited shirley temples) and a light dinner-i couldn't have asked for a better girls' night out (and for charity no less).

I'm so proud of the work that harlem rbi does for the girls of east harlem and look forward to having their work expand and improve the lives of youth even more.
thanks for a wonderful evening harlem rbi!

i dragged along a friend to bask in the goodies.  lexi was such a champ!  she was so patient while i reminisced and caught up with all of my old coworkers.

just one table.  ONE table of the goodies.

and the old gang.

i was so lucky to work with these amazing women-beautiful both inside and out.  d-team forever!

  1. Funny story, Lexi's sister Mallory is one of my dearest friends. Small world!

  2. I'm sure it was so fun to attend one of the events for once! :) You look lovely and I'm glad you could get together with your former co-workers.
