my family and i made a trip out to florida. rented a big house, and partied hard. it was a 5 bedroom house called "the beach mansion". really. the rental company called it the beach mansion. it was a perfect getaway. lots of time at the beach, a day trip to the everglades, and most importantly, lots of time with the family. i ended up hardly seeing hugo because he was entertained so completely by his cousins. here's a few photos.

my sister's kids are getting so big! matthew just turned 16.
he LOVED the sand. and i found it everywhere for days when we got home.
on a walk in the evening before bed (best part of the whole trip was these evening walks we did after dinner and before bedtime)
