grandma visits

as was mentioned, my mom came out just in time to see henrietta moments after she was born in the hospital.  she spent a full week here helping out.  not going to lie, having 3 adults and 2 kids in an one bedroom apartment is pretty crowded, but we made it work. and while we had thought branden would hang with hugo most of the time to help with the transition, hugo ended up loving his grandma and was so happy to play with her every day.  so while branden and i figured out our new sleep schedule with a brand new baby (and woke up exhausted every morning) my mom would take hugo out to the park so we could catch up on some sleep.  i'm sure we completely exhausted her.  but we were so thankful to have her help.

thanks mom.  and even more so-thanks dad for making it possible for her to come.  i know what a great sacrifice it was and we are so grateful for you both.

we took hugo to the bryant park carousel one afternoon when i started to feel more adventurous.  you can see on his face that he was a little worried about the ride at first...but then he was sad to get off.  so sad that me and branden took him another time each (so fun!)
